Synopsis

@eve_xiao_actor is everything Wai Ying isn’t—whiny, accented, a bad actor.

Wai Ying is stalking Eve because they are, ew, the same casting type. How far does she have to go until she is truly not like other Asian girls? From three Bridgerton Season 4 rejects*, Hater explores how shame turns us into bitterly critical rage machines.

Production History

First conceived in 2023, Hater is proud to be an Everything Theatre Etties Awards ’25 Best Drama Finalist after getting four 4-star reviews for our successful Brighton Fringe debut in 2025 and subsequent performances as part of The Space Theatre’s summer season 2025, Lambeth Fringe at The Bread and Roses Theatre & back to The Space as part of Voila Festival!
